You can use ReClipped for video note-taking and analysis in 2 different ways.
1. Browser Extension
2. ReClipped website
Below are the instructions on using both of these methods.
Installing and using the ReClipped Browser Extension
- Visit the Chrome Web Store link
- Add the Extension to your Chrome Browser
- Sign up using Google or create a new account by going to the sign up page
- Now, open another tab and navigate to a YouTube video in your browser (use this link follow our example).
Confirm that the ReClipped widget appears at the bottom of the video and on the righthand side of page(sometimes it can take a bit long to appear, so wait up to a minute)
- Check that you are already logged into the Sidebar by clicking on the arrow on the righthand side.
If you had followed all the steps above, you should already be logged in. However, if you are not logged in.
- Click on the "Login" button, it will open a separate Tab for signing in
- Submit your credentials or Continue with Google
- Come back to the video and refresh the page
- The sidebar should be in logged in state now

Taking notes on the ReClipped Website
- Visit the ReClipped Website
- Sign up using Google or create a new account by going to the sign up page
After activation of account, you will land on the user profile page.
- Click on the Add Video button on the top bar
Upon clicking Add Video, a modal will appear where you have the option to add video from various platforms. In this example, we will show you how to add a YouTube video.
- Copy the link to the YouTube video and paste in the text box, then click continue.
- You will land on a page with the YouTube video and note-taking instructions on the righthand side. Sometimes, the video can a bit long to load, so make sure you wait for a couple of minutes. Once the video has loaded, you would see the ReClipped action buttons at the bottom to help you start annotating the video.
Now you ready to take notes using the ReClipped Website. Follow the instructions in upcoming articles to understand the different types of video annotations, the purpose of each annotation and how to organise your notes for best results.
